Intimacy with the Spirit

And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. 
John 14:16‭-‬17

The Holy Spirit comes to dwell in us when we receive salvation. He comes to help us live the life God has for us, realize our potential and fulfill purpose. However, the Holy Spirit is more than a help. He is a personality, He has emotions and preferences, and He has been given to stay with us forever. He does not seek to just instruct us, He wants a relationship with us. Imagine a close friend of yours continually ignoring you like you do not exist, but you cannot leave. It will be to our advantage when we get to know Him. We can fellowship with Him by acknowledging that He is a person and relating to Him, being aware of His presence and prioritizing His voice. Through scripture and prayer also. Let us get to know the Holy Spirit and fellowship with Him today.

I pray for you that you will grow in your relationship with the Holy Spirit, in Jesus name. Amen
