As we begin this series, I want to take you on a little bit of a journey, and I’ve kind of committed myself today, if it’s okay with you, I want to get in a little bit of a more of a teaching mode because there is something about the nature of faith that God has been dealing with me about, and if I start preaching and hollering and all that stuff that I do sometimes, and all that wild stuff, I won’t get my content across, and I really feel like the content of this is what is most important about the nature of faith.
Quoting Scripture
1 KINGS 18:44-46
The seventh time the servant reported, “A cloud as small as a man’s hand is rising from the sea.” So Elijah said, “Go and tell Ahab, ‘Hitch up your chariot and go down before the rain stops you.’”
45 Meanwhile, the sky grew black with clouds, the wind rose, a heavy rain started falling and Ahab rode off to Jezreel.
46 The power of the Lord came on Elijah and, tucking his cloak into his belt, he ran ahead of Ahab all the way to Jezreel.
